Zelle: We also accept Zelle payments. There is not a fee for paying with Zelle. If this is your preferred method, please let me know so I can send you our Zelle information.
Credit Card: If you would like to pay with a Credit Card you can pay through a PayPal link that will incur a 3.5% processing fee.
Wire Transfer: If you’d like to pay by wire transfer ($15 fee), email support@intlfieldstudies.org for the information needed.
If you have questions about ways to pay the full amount in smaller increments, please contact our office. Please refer to the Participant Agreement for details on refunds.
Passport: A valid Passport is required to enter the Bahamas. Passports must not expire during any of the dates you will be staying in The Bahamas or they will prohibit entry. Please contact the IFS office immediately if you do not have a passport or if it expires within the next few months.
Travel and Flights: DO NOT PURCHASE FLIGHTS YET. We have not reached our minimum numbers to run the program. Once we do, we will give you the go ahead to purchase flights. As part of your program fee, we will schedule and purchase your round-trip flights from Nassau to Andros. If you would like to start researching flights, please see below for the specifications.
Flights into Nassau - You must arrive in Nassau, BS (Lynden Pindling International Airport) by 12:45 pm on April 3rd. It is imperative to land by this time in order to catch your connecting flight to Andros. Your flight home can leave Nassau, BS anytime after 12:00 pm on April 10th. IFS will purchase and coordinate your travel to Nassau from Andros that morning. If you need/want to arrive a day early we recommend you stay at The Orange Hill Inn.
BAGGAGE POLICY - Flights from Nassau to Andros
Free: 1 suitcase under 40lbs and not exceeding a total of 62 inches (length+width+height), and 1 backpack under 15 lbs
Extra Bag: 1 additional suitcase under 40lbs and not exceeding a total of 62in (length+width+height) - $35
Extra Pounds: If your suitcase weighs over 40lbs, there will be a $2 fee per pound up to 50lbs ($20)
BAGS CANNOT WEIGH MORE THAN 50 lbs - Porters will not lift more than 50lbs.
To Clarify: If you bring no more than 2 suitcases that both weigh under 40 pounds and a backpack under 15lbs, you would owe a total of $35 one way for the extra suitcase. I would try to stay within these parameters.
We strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance for your flights and/or research the rescheduling/cancellation policy of the airline in which you choose to fly. Delta and American Airlines have frequent flights into Nassau and may be a good option for your trip. We do not recommend booking your flights with third-party services such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc. as these services have very strict cancellation/rescheduling policies.
