Forfar Scholarship Program
International Field Studies is excited to offer a limited number of scholarships for our week-long participants. We offer need-based scholarships to help provide access to this unique hands-on, field based learning experience at Forfar to more students. Scholarship funding is made possible through the “Dr. Walter Ben Bohl Scholarship Fund.” The scholarships currently available range in size from $250-$1,000 and will be determined based upon funds available and applicant need.
Eligibility
Total household income does not exceed $100,000.

If you are claimed as a dependent by someone, please provide their most recent tax return.
If you file as an independent, please provide your most recent tax return.
Answer an essay question
Upload a letter of recommendation and contact information (must be someone that is not related to the applicant. i.e. - coach, teacher, pastor, etc.)
Deadlines & Notification
Scholarships will be determined and offered on a seasonal basis. Therefore, the deadline for applicants is determined by when their group is visiting Forar:
Fall/Winter groups visiting between November 1-February 28 must apply no later than October 1st.
Spring groups visiting between March 1 - May 31 must apply no later than December 1st.
Summer groups visiting between June 1 - August 31 must apply no later than April 1st.
Applicants will be notified within two weeks of the deadline for their season. Exceptions can be made to extend application deadlines.
