Sea Kayaking and Camping in The Exumas

What: Take a guided kayaking adventure with IFS staff and Forfar's Sea Kayak instructor, Steve Harrington, through the diverse coastal environments of The Exumas island chain! Sea Kayaking in the Exuma Islands and camp on remote and pristine beaches. Daily when the group lands, they will set up camp, snorkel, practice kayak skills, learn about the ecology of the Caribbean… or just read and lay out in the sun!

Artists Exploration of Andros

What: Welcoming artists, travelers and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world, this week long adventure offers an immersive experience in the nature and wildlife of Andros Island as artists expand their knowledge of photography, painting and writing. The main goal of this trip is to teach people how to identify ecological relationships on Andros Island in the Bahamas and use art to communicate those observations.

Forfar Marine Science Program (Gap Year)

What: Live on beachfront property, study on the crystal clear Caribbean waters, and earn your PADI Open and Advanced SCUBA certifications during a 6-week marine science program at Forfar Field Station, located on Andros, Bahamas. Students will partake in lecture based activities and land/sea excursions throughout the island as they explore the wonders of Andros as it is home to the highest concentration of blue holes in the world and bordering the 3rd largest fringing barrier reef. Students will earn internationally recognized certifications, a certificate of completion, and career guidance.
