What is included in the cost? Access to the 6 online lectures, 7-night stay at Forfar Field Station, roundtrip flight from Nassau to Andros, all meals, transportation on island, lodging, lectures, and lecture-themed excursions. You’ll be responsible for your flights into and out of Nassau, BS.
Program Fee: Total: $1,450. A non-refundable $300 deposit is due with the Participant Agreement to secure your spot on the trip. The rest of the program fee will be due in full on April 21, 2025. Please refer to the Participant Agreement for details on refunds.
There are 4 options for ways that you can complete payment:
Check: mail a check to our office located at 1550 Old Henderson Road, Suite E268, Columbus, Ohio 43220; make all checks out to ‘International Field Studies, Inc.’.
Zelle: We also accept Zelle payments. There is not a fee for paying with Zelle. If this is your preferred method, please email office@intlfieldstudies.org for the information needed.
Credit Card: If you would like to pay with a Credit Card, you can pay through a PayPal link. *Note: any payment over $500 will incur a 3.5% processing fee.
Wire Transfer: If you’d like to pay by wire transfer ($15 fee), email office@intlfieldstudies.org for the information needed.
If you have questions about ways to pay the full amount in smaller increments, please contact our office. Please refer to the Participant Agreement for details on refunds.
Passport: A valid Passport is required to enter The Bahamas. Passports must not expire during any of the dates you will be staying in The Bahamas, or they will prohibit entry. Please contact the IFS office immediately if you do not have a passport, or if it expires within the next few months.
Travel and Flights: YOU CAN NOW PURCHASE YOUR ROUND-TRIP NASSAU FLIGHTS! As part of your program fee, we will schedule and purchase your round-trip flights from Nassau to Andros. If you would like to start researching flights, please see below for the specifications:
Arrive at the Nassau airport on June 21, 2025, before 12:45 pm. Depart the Nassau airport on June 28, 2025, after 12:00 pm. It is important that you follow these instructions for your Nassau flights so that you have enough time to get through immigration/customs/security etc. and catch your Andros flights.
We strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance for your flights and/or research the rescheduling/cancellation policy of the airline in which you choose to fly. Delta and American Airlines have frequent flights into Nassau and may be a good option for your trip. We do not recommend booking your flights with third-party services such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc. as these services have very strict cancellation/rescheduling policies.
Forms: All forms are due April 21, 2025 and are listed below. There are 4 required forms; 3 that are online submissions, and 1 that needs to be printed and notarized (for US citizens only). Please be sure to scan or take a photo of the Medical Consent form once it is notarized and email it to office@intlfieldstudies.org.
How will we receive updates about this trip? The IFS office will send updates, announcements, and travel details via email. If your email changes or you want a parent cc’d, let us know.
