Welcome Kayaking The Exumas Travelers!

We are looking forward to traveling with you this Winter (February 2 - February 11, 2026) in our Kayaking The Exumas Program. To better prepare you for your stay, please read the following information:

1. Travel and Flights: You are responsible for paying for your roundtrip flight to and from The Exumas (Georgetown airport -GGT).

   DO NOT BOOK FLIGHTS YET! We will let you know when the program is full and then you can book. If you want to start doing research your flight will need to arrive in Georgetown airport GGT on Monday, February 2, 2026. On your return home, you will book your flight out of Georgetown airport GGT on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. We recommend you look for a flight that departs after 12pm (noon) that Wednesday for ease and convenience of getting to the airport. Feel free to check flight times with our office before purchasing. After you have purchased your tickets, please send your flight information/itinerary to support@intlfieldstudies.org.

   We strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance for your flights and/or research the rescheduling/cancellation policy of the airline in which you choose to fly. We do not recommend booking your flights with third-party services such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc. as these services have very strict cancellation/rescheduling policies.

2. Hotel stay (February 2-3 and again February 9-10): PLEASE BOOK ASAP - these rooms will go fast. You will be responsible for booking and paying for your hotel stay on February 2 and 3, 2026 AND February 9 and 10, 2026. The nights from February 4th - February 8th will be spent camping.

   Instructions for hotel booking with Hideaways at Palm Bay hotel:

   1. Book your room through Hideaways Hotel Website. The cheapest rooms are the Hillside and Beachside Studios. Once you have booked through their website send an email to info@hideawayspalmbay.com let them know you have booked for the kayaking trip with Steve Harrington and they will give you 20% off 2 of your lodging nights.

   2. Be sure to let them know that you are with Steve Harrington's group and which room you would like to reserve for the nights of February 2-3 (checking out on February 4th) AND February 9-10th (checking out on the 11th).

   3. Please be sure to book a refundable room in case the trip needs to be cancelled for some reason.

   4. You will receive a reservation email from Hideaways Hotel which will instruct you on how to pay to confirm the reservation.

   5. After you have booked your rooms, please email support@intlfieldstudies.org to confirm that you were successfully able to book.

3. Program Fee: Total: $1,599. A non-refundable $300 deposit is due with the Participant Agreement to secure your spot on the trip. The rest of the program fee will be due in full on December 15, 2025.

   There are 4 options for ways that you can complete payment: 

   • Credit Card: You will receive an email from PayPal with the subject line: Invoice from International Field Studies. You may need to check your spam folder for the PayPal email. Please keep in mind that there is a 3.5% processing fee for any payment done through PayPal that is over $500. 

   • Check: If you'd prefer to send a check through the mail, you can do so by mailing it to our office at 1550 Old Henderson Road, Suite E268, Columbus, OH 43220. There are no extra fees for sending a check through the mail.

   • Zelle: We also accept Zelle payments. There is not a fee for paying with Zelle. If this is your preferred method, please let me know so I can send you our Zelle information.

     Wire Transfer: If you would like to Wire Transfer the money please let us know and we can email you the details needed. The fee is $15 for a wire transfer.

4. Forms: All forms are due December 15, 2025. and listed below. Some of the forms are online and some are paper. Please be sure to scan and email the paper form (Medical Consent) to support@intlfieldstudies.org. It is imperative to list detailed notes on any specific diet/medical conditions on the HIPPA protected online Medical History form due to the remote/travel nature of this course as safety is the number one priority for IFS. Note, the Medical Consent form requires a notary (for US citizens).

  • Non US citizens: A notarized signature on the medical consent form is only required for US citizens. If you are NOT a US citizen, please complete this form without notary.

• Email us to confirm that you have successfully booked your hotel stay for February 2-3rd and February 9-10th, 2026
