Group Leaders

The IFS staff is here to facilitate what you have in mind for the educational experience at Forfar. The teachers at the field station can, if necessary, help form a curriculum to guide your students through their week on Andros or at sea.

Rates

The current rate for a week at the field station or on the sail boats is: $1275 per person

This includes:

• Flights to and from Ft. Lauderdale to Andros Island
• Lodging at the field station or on the boats for seven nights
• Three meals a day
• Transportation on the island
• Additional lectures and assistance from the Forfar staff

For groups, the ninth person for every eight paying is free at the field station. On the sail boats, the seventh person is free for every paying six.

Payment

Our current policy requires:

• $200 group deposit to reserve a week in the schedule (No trip is confirmed or guaranteed until the $200 is received by the Columbus office).
• $300 per person deposit due THREE months before trip departure date
• Complete balance paid no less than ONE month before trip departure date

Travel

Weekly trips to Andros generally go from Saturday to Saturday, leaving from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Groups are advised to arrive in Ft. Lauderdale the Friday before their trip. IFS has a special rate with the La Quinta Hotel that is made available to our groups. Additionally, groups that are scheduling flights out of Ft. Lauderdale back home the Saturday at the end of their week should look for evening flights. This allows for plenty of time to leave the island and transfer between departure places.
